The Business, Finance, and Law Pathway includes careers in planning, organizing, directing and evaluating business functions essential to efficient and productive business operations. The finance portion of this Pathway involves careers in financial and investment planning, banking, insurance and business financial management. Careers in law keep the legal system running smoothly and include public services and jobs that serve and protect people, such as law enforcement, firefighting, legal services, and the military.

There is one traditional Business, Finance and Law Pathway, the Law Careers Pathway. This option is shown below:

Students who are interested in Business, Finance and Law but do now want to follow the Law Careers Pathway are encouraged to create their own pathway. To create a personal pathway, students should look at the classes in the Business, Finance and Law Pathway and find courses that are relevant to learning about their career interests. Students should start with an introductory course, choose at least two subsequent courses, and aim to end their pathway with an AP Course, Capstone Course, Dual Enrollment Course or Internship. The Pathway should be a total of at least 4 credits. A description of each course is listed at the end of the Business, Finance and Law Pathway document.

Below you will find samples of how you can create your own pathway:
