This Pathway includes a wide variety of careers that explore human culture, interaction and communication. Careers in this category may include things such as performing, writing, designing, video editing and analyzing the how people engage with or react to things. One thing these careers have in common is they require the ability to communicate effectively, whether that be by voice, writing, or art piece. Many of these careers have an impact on our society, whether it's inspiring people with a performance of a play, reporting the current news, or curating a display at a museum that teaches people the importance of other cultures.

There is one traditional Arts, Humanities, and Communications Pathway. This option is shown below:

Students who are interested in the Arts, Humanities, and Communications Pathway but do not want to follow the traditional pathway are encouraged to create their own pathway. To create a personal pathway, students should look at the classes in the Arts, Humanities and Communications Pathway and find courses that are relevant to learning about their career interests. Students should start with an introductory course, choose at least two subsequent courses, and aim to end their pathway with an AP Course, Capstone Course, Dual Enrollment Course or Internship. A pathway should consist of at least 4 credits. A description of each course is listed at the end of the Arts, Humanities and Communications Pathway document.

Below you will find samples of how you can create your own pathway:
